Group and Family Volunteers

We offer monthly volunteer opportunities for groups big or small! Bring your church group, book club, or sports team to a volunteer event created just for you!

Want to bring the kids? We have two family volunteer opportunities each month — one held in English and the other in Spanish — geared for elementary-age kids and their adults! Did we mention there’s a dance party involved?

Scroll to the bottom of the page to check out the next available group and family volunteer opportunities!

Neighborhood Coordinator

Time Commitment: 2 hours per month

We have more than 125 Neighborhood Coordinators who organize monthly food collections for a neighborhood or street. They are responsible for spreading the word about the designated day for the monthly food drives, picking up donations from neighborhood porches, and getting the non-perishable bags of food to a central location. Learn more about this vital role.

Host a Food Drive

We count on community members and organizations to run food drives and collect non-perishable items like bags of rice, dried pasta, canned vegetables, and more.

This toolkit will help get you started as you plan your in-person or virtual food drive . You can also contact our team for additional assistance.
