Job Posting – Program Manager
We’re hiring!
PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro is in need of a full-time program manager to manage, maintain, and develop all aspects of our programs including the fresh Food for Families (FFF) program, the Food for Pantries (FFP) program, and the Food for Schools (FFS) snack program, that provide hunger relief to our community in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, NC.
The work schedule is generally flexible, but periodic in-person meetings and events are required. Once per month, in-person meetings and events occur on a Sunday afternoon and evening. Candidates must reside in the Triangle area and must have ready access to a car. PORCH does not have a physical office; general administrative duties must be performed remotely.
Qualifications and skills needed: Identify challenges and solve problems with creativity and tact. Excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to manage many details, ability to multitask, good logistical skills Proficient in use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint or other similar programs. Physically able to lift 40 lbs as job involves bending, lifting, loading, and delivering heavy boxes of produce. Self-motivated and self-directed, ability to work independently with minimal day to day instructions (after initial orientation and training). Good interpersonal and group leadership skills, ability to recruit volunteers, manage volunteers with enthusiasm, assertive, positive attitude, flexible, high energy, patient, works well in groups, compassionate, confident, committed to equity/inclusion/diversity in all activities.
