Meet Food for Schools Sponsor Tony Hall of Tony Hall and Associates 

Tony Hall & Associates is a “boutique-style” real estate office in Chapel Hill that’s been in business since 1995. The team works with home buyers and sellers in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Durham, Hillsborough, and the surrounding areas. 

They are also proud sponsors of our Food for Schools program. 

FFS provides supplemental food to students in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools who are hungry and struggling to concentrate in the classroom. Through FFS, PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro provides each school with $1,000 worth of snacks in a school year – $500 at the beginning of the school year and $500 after the holidays. The snacks – cheese crackers, granola bars, applesauce, apples, protein bars, trail mix, fruit bars, and more – are purchased in bulk, brought to a central location, and sorted. Then, school social workers pick up the healthy snacks on a designated day each semester. To learn more, check out our recent feature on this program. 

“I support PORCH because it’s a successful, local organization with a wonderful cause,” says Tony. “It is costly to live here, and this is great way to make sure families are getting good food and nutrition. The Food for Schools program seems like a very efficient way for PORCH to serve children in this community.” 

Tony Hall & Associates also supports the N.C. Botanical Garden, WUNC and WCPE radio, Orange County Artists Guild, Paws4ever, Inter-Faith Council for Social Service, Durham Rescue Mission, and TROSA.
