Cash donations are critical to helping PORCH get food to local families, schools, and pantries. Our bags of fresh food typically last about nine days, depending on the size of the family, and for many of our neighbors, the supplemental food can mean the difference between a healthy meal and no meal at all.

Every dollar makes a meaningful difference in our work.

$25 provides a grocery gift card each month so a family can buy much-needed items specific to their well being.

$50 provides a family with a large box of fresh fruits and veggies, a gallon of milk, and two dozen eggs each month.

$100 provides a family with a large box of fresh fruits and veggies, a gallon of milk, two dozen eggs, a $25 gift card, and a bag of groceries each month. 

Want to give in honor of a loved one? We will send the honoree a letter acknowledging your generous contribution. (You can also download this certificate to personally pass along.) Donate online and check the box next to “I would like to dedicate this donation.” Or, if you are mailing us a check, be sure to include a note with the name and mailing address of the person you’re honoring.

Business Sponsorships

Our Food for Schools program provides healthy snack foods to all Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, the pre-K/Headstart program in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro district, and two after-school programs (the Family Resource Center and Boomerang). A sponsorship to fund healthy snacks at one school for the entire school year is $1,100. Sponsors are recognized on our website, in our impact report, through social media, and with decals on storefronts.
